"AMERYKA ŁACIŃSKA. Analytical and Informative Quarterly", in brief "Ameryka Łacińska" [Latin America] is a scientific journal, published by University of Warsaw, devoted entirely to the contemporaneity and history of Latin America and the Caribbean. Was founded by a professor Andrzej Dembicz. From the beginning has an interdisciplinary character. The first issue appeared in autumn of 1993. Currently is published in paper and electronic form. In order to internationalize it, since the last year, 2016, the Editorial decided to publish the fourth number, the last one in the year, in bilingual Polish-English version. Currently "Ameryka Łacińska" is the only Polish-language journal dedicated to Latin America.
The aim of the publisher is full and free online access to the all archival journal numbers. In more than 25 years made better its content and design, adapting to the latest editorial requirements. Trying to have among the authors young and renowned scholars of Latin American studies.
The journal is indexed in the following databases: ERIH PLUS - European Reference Indes for the Humanities and Social Sciences (since 2015); CEJSH - The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (since 2014); LATINDEX - Sistema Regional de Informacion de Revistas Cientificas de America Latina, el Caribe, Espana y Portugal (since 2013); ICI journals Master List - Copernicus Index (since 2012) and POL-index. Since 2009, is on the list of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education with 20 points.
